This course is great for anyone looking to expand their understanding of coffee. Persons new to the coffee industry, fans of drinking coffee, salespersons and more.  


This is an in-person learning course.  

In this course we will discuss:

  1. Coffee Knowledge - where coffee comes from and conditions it needs to grow

  2. Roasting - the basics of the process

  3. Freshness - packaging and storage

  4. Sensory - evaluating brewed coffee and what effects the final cup

  5. Brewing - brewing methods and how they impact the final cup

  6. Water - the importance of water in the brewing process

  7. Cleaning and Maintenance - how to care for your equipment

Instructor Thomas Ameloot, with 15+ years of coffee and education experience worldwide.

 

Course Fees: $175 includes instruction and exploration of coffees, and digital or printed course materials, and shipping within the USA. SCA Certificate available for an additional $50 certificate fee.
